    Cabins

The exterior of a single-story cabin with white shingle and lap siding and a gray metal roof. A concrete walkway leads to the entrance of the cabin. A tree stands in the foreground. Many other trees are visible behind the cabin.

We’ll be staying in well-maintained cabins.

Metal-framed bunk bends within the cabins. Each bed is sized for one person.

There are enough bunks for each person to sleep on the bottom; though you are certainly welcome to take the top!

Two sinks in the cabin bathroom. There are mirrors above the sinks and counter space for laying out items around the sinks.

The restrooms are clean and bright, with plenty of space.

    Main Lodge

The main hall of the camp. Carpeted and filled with round tables. The back wall of the hall is entirely windows looking out onto natural grounds.

    The Main Hall

The covered back patio of the main hall. The covering is a permanent roof extended from the main structure, and has embedded lighting.

A small seating room with five well-cushioned chairs, a coffee table, and various decorations. Good for a small group to talk.

One of several smaller rooms available.

Past Women’s Retreats

On Saturday, June 3, 30 adults met at the UUFC for a half-day retreat exploring identity in vertical (hereditary, cultural) and horizontal (chosen, acquired) dimensions. The goal of this exercise was to expand our sensitivity to our unique humanity and practice inclusion and connection. We sang, laughed, and shared in depth. All participants agreed that this more inclusive retreat was a welcome addition to the Men’s and Women’s retreats that have been held at the UUFC for decades. A post-event evaluation indicated a strong desire to continue these kinds of gatherings going forward. The retreat was organized by Kris Egan, Priscilla Galasso, Jed Irvine, Nick Houtman, Skyla King-Christison, and Steve Strauss.
