Sunday Worship Service: That’s How The Light Gets In

October 25, 2026 at 10:00 AM

This is a sermon about opening our eyes to see past the surface and opening our hearts to love past our limits. This is a sermon about taking a chance on a more magnificent future, knowing that now and again that can pay off for us all.

with Rev. Eric Kaminetzky and Kevin Grant

Eric Kaminetzky is a Unitarian Universalist. He serves as the Interim Settled Ministries Director for the Unitarian Universalist Association. Prior to that, Eric served as a Unitarian Universalist Parish Minister for the Edmonds Unitarian Universalist Congregation for over fourteen years.
In earlier part of his life he worked a licensed, practicing attorney.
Eric is a spouse and a parent, and he is kept by two small Chihuahua Mix dogs in Seattle, Washington.
Eric has served our faith tradition as a Board President, as a District Trustee, as a Membership Professional, as a Camp Co-Director, and as a Risk Manager.
In ministry he has served as the Vice-President of the Unitarian Universalist Ministers Association Board of Trustees and as a UUMA Chapter Officer in various roles.

Sunday Worship Service: Ancestor Sunday

November 1, 2026 at 10:00 AM

Many religious traditions set aside time to honor those who have died. On this Sunday which is also All Saints Day and Día de los Muertos, let us pause and reflect. What gifts will we honor? What complexities need healing? What kind of ancestor legacy do you want to leave? The choir will sing “La Llarona”.

with Rev. Alex McGee and Fred Polinder

Sunday Worship Service: Many Meanings of Safety

November 8, 2026 at 10:00 AM

After service, everyone present will be asked to participate in a building evacuation. During the sermon, Rev. Alex will reflect on why this congregation is worth protecting and the many ways each person can do so. We will take a moment to pause and acknowledge that Veterans Day is November 11.

Sunday Worship Service

November 22, 2026 at 10:00 AM

As we approach the Thanksgiving holidays, let’s reflect on what it means to taste, savor, and digest. When we are mindful, we are able to do this with our food. And in our spiritual life, we can cultivate practices to engage with the natural world and with wisdom texts in a way that we allow them to nourish us.

Rev. Alex McGee and Heather Thomas

Sunday Worship Service: Family Stories

November 29, 2026 at 10:00 AM

Family means different things to different people, and is used as a metaphor for many types of groups. As we approach the winter holidays and Veterans Day, let us reflect on which family stories are easy to tell, and how to approach the tender ones.
