Pathway to Membership

We invite you to become a member of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Corvallis!

The First Step

Once a month, we offer a one-hour First Steps orientation session. If you are new to UUFC, exploring Unitarian Universalism for the first time, and trying to find your way around the Fellowship, this is for you.

At our First Steps class, you’ll find out more about us, how we connect, and get a tour of the building. First Steps is held every 4th Sunday at 11:00 AM. For more information, contact the First Steps coordinator, Elona Meyer at elonameyer@icloud.com.

Next Steps

Each quarter, we offer two classes as part of the formal membership exploration process – UU Path and Membership. Register at the Welcome Table on Sundays. *Due to the novel Coronavirus, we are shifting these classes to a virtual format.

Below are a few details about each of these classes.

UUPath – 3.5 hour class

*Due to the novel Coronavirus, we will be holding our next UUPath class via Zoom. The next class will be Monday, August 17 at 7:00 PM.

In this quarterly class, the minister will discuss history and principles of our liberal faith, and we will get an understanding of our Fellowship’s programs. Brunch will be served during this class. Contact the Welcome Desk to learn when the next class will be held.

Membership – 1.5 hour class

This class is a requirement for anyone who is considering membership. It will explore the rewards and responsibilities of membership, and provide a good understanding of how this Fellowship functions as an institution. For those who are ready to sign the Membership Book, a brief Enrollment Ceremony will follow. Contact the Welcome Desk to learn when the next class will be held.

OUR MISSION…  Explore. Love. Act. We gather as an inclusive religious community to search for meaning, build deep connections, and inspire action toward a better world for all.
