Justice Outreach Fund
The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Corvallis maintains a Justice Outreach Fund for
grants that are focused on high-impact projects aimed at seeding and achieving social,
economic, racial, environmental and other kinds of justice.
As the designated Grant Committee we are pleased to announce the launch of a pilot
grant program to make some initial small grants from this fund. We will use the learning
from this pilot program to refine the grant process for ongoing implementation.
The Grant Committee will review completed grant applications monthly for small grants up to $500. Grant applications request program summary, objectives, proposed budget and project outcomes. The grant application is available below.
Priority will be given to projects that:
–involve training for UUFC members or youth to enable their participation in organized justice efforts
–are justice-related conferences or workshops
–are justice-related presentations or sermons
— create, encourage or facilitate cooperation and collaboration between groups within the UUFC, or between the UUFC and other groups which are largely in sympathy with the application of Unitarian Universalist religious principles.
In addition to applications for small grants the committee would also like to solicit input from the broader fellowship community about ideas for funding in the coming year and any input about the process. The Grant Committee is comprised of three members of the Fellowship: Beth Hoffman, Dina Lindquist and Chareane Wimbley-Gouveia. Committee members will be available between the two Sunday services on January 8th and January 22nd to answer questions and get your input about the grant process. Please also feel free to contact any of us directly or email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
